Kyle Parker looks to be returning as the starting quarterback at Clemson after negotiations with the Colorado Rockies broke down on Tuesday night.

Parker, who threw 20 touchdowns as a freshman last season, was a first-round pick in the MLB draft last month and had been in serious discussions with the team.

The news was a relief to Tigers coach Dabo Swinney, who would have turned to redshirt freshman Tajh Boyd if Parker had done the expected and signed a baseball-only contract with Colorado.

"We can move on and people can have some closure on it," Swinney told the Independent Mail of Anderson, S.C. "People have been working extremely hard all summer, we've had excellent leadership, I think they've been focused. Outside looking in we've had an excellent summer and I don't want to let this overshadow that in any regard."

It is still possible for Parker change his mind. While he set a deadline of yesterday to reach a deal, Parker officially has until Aug. 15 to make a decision. It is possible the team could meet his demands – reportedly a $3 million signing bonus - and leave Clemson.

The other likely scenario is that he would agree only to a deal that allows him to play professional baseball in the summer and college football in the fall

The segment of the MTV's "If You Really Knew Me" series filmed in Colusa will air on Aug. 11.

The segment, filmed in January, during Colusa High's School's Challenge Day is already online and has gotten a lot of attention there.

"Colusa High School is the only California school in the series other than Freedom High School where the pilot was filmed," Barbara Hankins, prevention coordinator for Colusa Unified School District, said in a statement.

The new docu-series, which premiered Tuesday, follows students as they come together for an event that spurs them to reveal who they really are, beyond the cliques, clubs and confines of high school life, MTV officials said.

Each episode visits a different school, following five students as they tear down the walls that divide them through a transformative one-day program, "Challenge Day."

Reminiscent of the film "The Breakfast Club," this real life series goes beneath the surface and behind the labels, ultimately uniting these students as they surprise each other with illuminating yet sometimes difficult truths about their lives.

"'If You Really Knew Me' is an incredibly authentic and compelling docu-series that takes us on a 24 hour journey through a high school's social transformation," said Tony DiSanto, President of Programming for MTV, in a statement. "It shows us what happens when kids from various cliques decide to break down the walls that divide them and commit to change. Newschannel Six Sports Director Chris Kane has learned that Kyle Parker will return to Clemson to play quarterback.

Sources close to the situation also tell News Channel Six, that Parker will make it official Wednesday.

Parker was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in last month's baseball draft and can still sign a contract with a clause that allows him to play football this fall.

A pair of porn actors are starring in a real-life murder mystery.

The X-rated boyfriend and girlfriend stabbed and pummeled a Florida tattoo artist with a sledgehammer, detectives said Friday.

Amanda Logue, a lingerie shop owner who also dabbled in prostitution, and Jason Andrews, a Chicago deejay, stand accused of the May 15 murder, police said, pointing to poorly spelled, profanity-laced text messages the couple exchanged before the killing as proof.

In one text, Logue said she wanted to have sex with Andrews after they killed Dennis (Scooter) Abrahamsen at his Tampa-area home, police said.

"I'm so glad you're really commited to this take. Keep eyes for a knife, etc for me!" Andrews texted shortly before the murder, police said.

A grand jury indicted the two on first-degree murder charges.

The couple spent April and May in Florida starring in porn videos and hanging out at the beach, according to their Twitter accounts.

Logue spent the night before the murder at a party at Abrahamsen’s house, where she was allegedly hired to have sex oncamera, while Andrews waited outside the house in his car.

"Just get him on his face either bash or tell me to get in and. Where to go." Andrews wrote in one text.

Logue replied, “I’m horny,” and Andrews told her to take her time.

Nearly a day later, Abrahamsen was found dead on a massage table in a room with blood-splattered walls.

The porn pair also stole $6,000 from Abrahamsen police said.

Andrews and Logue were arrested on May 18 as they tried to use Abrahamsen’s credit card, but police didn’t have enough evidence to connect them to the murder.

Scared, the couple went their separate ways until their arrests in different states this week.

According to an affidavit, Logue denied she was involved in the killing, and told police Andrews did it and made her “view Abrahamsen’s crushed skull and told her that’s what would happen to her if she told anyone.”

Logue is being held without bail at a Florida county jail. Andrews was arrested in Chattanooga, Tenn., and will stay there until he can be extradited.

NEW YORK (CBS) Ouch. Looks as if an injury had to send one "So You Think You Can Dance" hopeful home on Thursday night's episode.

For the second straight week, another top dancer had to leave the contest early due to injury. This time it was Ashley Galvan. Her injury requires at least two to three weeks of rest, and she was forced to end her run in tears. "It just hurts for leaving like this," she said.

Lauren Froderman is now the only female remaining in the competition.

Joining Galvan in the bottom three were Billy Bell (for the second time in a row) and Jose Ruiz, who joined the bottom for the first time. The judges keep saying Jose's technique simply isn't up to the bar of the other dancers in the competition, but viewers apparently love him.

Creamer shot a 2-under 69 Sunday to win the 65th U.S. Women's Open at Oakmont Country Club, her first major tournament victory. Creamer's lead never dipped below two shots in the final round. Na Yeon Choi of South Korea shot a 5-under 66 to tie Suzann Pettersen of Norway for second place at 1-over 285.

"That's kind of a big relief off of my shoulders, but I knew that the time would come," Creamer, 23, said. "I just had to be patient."

So did all the players. Thunderstorms forced the second round to be suspended Friday, and play resumed Saturday before the third round was played Saturday afternoon. Creamer played 28 holes Saturday and finished the final five holes of her third round Sunday morning.

That's a lot of golf for a bad thumb to handle. Creamer withdrew from her first tournament this season, the Honda LPGA Thailand in February, because of a thumb injury that required surgery in March and three months of rehabilitation.
